Forever, Michael!

Wow….what an emotional fortnight.

I am still trying to come to terms with the fact… Michael Jackson is no longer with us.

I have never made it a secret that I loved Michael.

Even when blogging and trying to keep a neutral stance (to some extent), I am sure the adoration still filtered through.

I know I am not alone when I say, the news that hit me on Thursday 25th June 2009 felt like not only had someone slammed me straight in the gut but, they had also attempted to strangle me at the same time.
The feeling was overwhelming!!!!

Here I was watching the news (as it unfolded)… I was witnessing the frantic aftermath of the sudden death of a global superstar… a phenomenon to be precise.

Within minutes, my phone started going off…

Somehow that night, I managed to get a couple hours sleep – thank God I wasn’t in work the next day…. I guess that was a blessing!

The days that followed were a blur of news, rumours and just….strangeness.

Suddenly, all these people were coming out the wood work claiming they were devoted Michael Jackson fans and they were devastated at the news.

Convinced I was not.

The rumour mill went into complete overdrive with the assumptions of how he died and who was to blame etc… it was crazy.
Here was a dead guy causing mayhem in the same way he did when he was alive – people couldn’t get enough of a Michael Jackson story, good or bad!

His music stormed the charts once again, people had woken up to the genius that is Michael Jackson, people had started to realise one more, what made this man so great!
Number 1 singles all over again….

Mass media coverage all over again!

Wow, Michael was doing it all over again but the sad, harsh reality was, he had passed…. Michael Jackson breathed no more…. Michael Jackson would sing no more…..Michael Jackson would dance no more…..speak no more…..feel no more… (Here on earth)…
The world officially paused for a moment… Michael Jackson, the greatest entertainer that ever lived – was gone!!!

I will be the first to admit, the week and a bit in between the death and the memorial was emotional…

As a human being with feelings, I felt it… believe me.
My childhood idol, my inspiration, my favourite ‘pop’ star, had brought me up (musically) and now, had gone…..I was devastated – no lie!

Tragic……

Through the memorial, I blubbed like a baby…I know so many others shared the pain…not just the pain of losing a great historic icon but, personal pain… pain for the sadness in his life, pain for others that have departed, pain for a whole host of things.
Michael Jackson’s death brought it all back!

Jeez….for I, Michaels energy will always be, Michaels music will always be therefore, Michael will always be!

After 50 years on this earth, Michael fulfilled his mission, to create music that was so beautiful and entertain across the world – knock down the barriers and prove music can unify…..

Michael’s legacy will live on as long as time – he solidified himself in all the history books and will be forever referred to as one of the great icons ever to have lived.

Rest in everlasting peace Michael – your job is done….

Did Foxy get corrected?

The New York post is claiming that whilst Foxy Brown completed a sentence for assault at Rikers Island, she was treated like a queen and made to feel comfortable during her stay… (like it was a holiday yuh nuh).

It is alleged she was brought meals and supplied with make up whilst she swanned around in Gucci trainers and Fendi scarves….wow!

On top of that, Foxy was allowed unlimited TV and phone calls and to finish it…. apparently officials took to jamming with Foxy in her cell – it was like the place to hang out (supposedly)…

What a joke eh???

The corker is.... rumour is Foxy wasn't exactly a model prisoner (if there ever was one).
Apparently, after brawling with an inmate she was confined to isolation, refused to take a drug test and verbally abused one of the prison officials.

And hear this, when she was released, not only did she get picked up by a luxury SUV, apparently the correction chief of department waved her goodbye!!!!

WTF???

Chris gets a last minute deal!

Ah haaaaa, so it seems a deal has been made right at the last minute!

Chris Brown has managed to avoid standing trial in the case against him which claimed he assaulted girlfriend at the time, Rihanna.

Just before Rihanna was called testify, I mean…. just before – a deal was reached. Talk about dramatic!

The plea deal means, Chris has to attend domestic abuse classes for a year, he is on probation for 5 years, he cannot go within 50 yards from Rihanna (unless it is at an industry shin dig when it is 10 yards) and he has to do 180 days worth of community service!

For the record, it is alleged, Chris actually pleaded guilty to felony assault likely to cause great bodily harm…… wow!

Chris agreed to the plea deal (well he would have had to wouldn’t he) and if he breaches any of the terms of the deal, he could face up to 4 years in jail.

So, we know what this means…….Chris has to learn to keep his hands to himself!!!!
Uh huh!

MiJac...the mill keeps on churning...

As long as there is Michael Jackson, there will always drama and tabloid stories shrouded in mystery…

Seems whilst, the rumours over here in the UK claim MiJac is visiting a clinic in Beverley Hills to treat skin cancer– over the water, the rumour is he has been visiting the same guy that was under criminal investigation during ‘THAT' trial to help deal with his skin condition – Vitiligo!

Dr Klein is a dermatologist to the stars and has treated Michael in the past
He underwent investigation when it was alleged he bleached (yueeeeeeeeeeeew) Michael's parts (you can figure the reasons why).

You know… I just don’ t know what to believe anymore so, until it comes from the horses mouth (so to speak), Ill continue to take what I read with a pinch of salt……interesting though! lol

Burglars raid Usain Bolt's home!

Whilst Usain Bolt was competing in the Czech Republic, burglars raided his home in Kingston, Jamaica.

The burglars broke in at about midnight on Tuesday whilst Usain’s half brother, Sadeke was asleep in the house and managed to swag a camera, a laptop and mobile phones (amongst other things).

It was in fact Usain's brother, that raised the alarm and informed the police of a break in.

Deep eh….. grabolicious or what!!!!!

Lil Wayne, Nivea and Lauren London too!

Although non of the parties involved have outright confirmed, the rumour mill keeps on churning and more and more stories keep cropping up to solidify the story.

Apparently, Lauren and Lil Wayne were not happy about the pregnancy initially but, have seemed to have come round to the idea.

They have both decided to call time on there ‘on and off’ relationship and have agreed they will not live together but, they will raise the baby together.

Seems sensible….until you throw the Nivea twist in the mix!

Allegedly, not only is Nivea also carrying Lil Wayne’s child, he is looking to make her wifey….officially!
He wants to put a ring on her finger.
This child would be Nivea’s fourth (she has 3 from her previous marriage to The Dream).

To make the situation even more… of a situation – both babies are apparently due in September!!!!

Dayuuuuum! This is set to be one of those stories that run for a while, is it true….?

When Ronaldo met Paris....again!

First off….what a jammy git!

Cristiano Ronaldo has transferred from Man Utd to Real Madrid for a record breaking £80 million.

Man Utd have accepted the bid and provided Ronaldo passes the medical and agrees personal terms – he is good to go.

Bejesus, £80 mill for a transfer….not bad eh???/

Apparently, he celebrated his ‘soon-to-be’ transfer with Paris Hilton!

It is alleged Paris approached him at an LA club – next thing you know they were looking rather cosy.

Ronaldo then went back to Paris’ sister’s house with Paris and did not appear until 5am this morning!!!!!!

This isn't the first time Paris has tried to score with the football ace.

Last summer she tried to force herself on him but he clearly was not interested after recently splitting from his girlfriend at the time.

Maybe it was the giddiness of realising just how much he was worth, combined with the copious amounts of Cristal champagne that made him succumb to her this time....

However we look at it, seems like she finally got her way!

All I am gonna say is…. It wouldn’t surprise me if they did!

Ursh and Tameka split?

The rumour mill has been churning once again…

This time Usher and Tameka Foster are its targets.

Touch magazine quoted that the couple were filing for divorce after 2 years of marriage. Touch claimed the info came from an anonymous source.

Touch claimed, the couple had been living separate lives for the past year and decided it was time to make the split official.

The thing that baffles me is, didn’t they recently have another child?
I believe the child is only 6 months so by my calculations, they must have separated whist she was only 3months pregnant! Hmmmmmm.

Then again, when Tameka had the plastic surgery ‘scare’ in Brazil about 4 months ago, even though Usher flew to be by her side, apparently he was unaware she actually went out there to get surgery…. Hmmmmm – maybe there’s something then.

I don’t know what’s going on, it all seems a little suspect I mean, allegedly, when Tameka was asked about the divorce she said she is yet to receive any papers but hasn’t spoken to Usher in a few days!
Hellooooooo, how can you not speak to your husband in a few days???
Unless you are in a remote part of the world where you can’t get a phone line (then again you have mobiles), to me, there is no excuse!!!

DMX gets probation.

Its official!

DMX has just about managed to keep himself out of going back to jail!

Luckily for him, the judge hearing the case of DMX allegedly throwing his tray at one of the detention officers, decided probation was enough.

The judge ruled, DMX will spend 18 months on supervised probation and is also required to attend counselling.

Hmmmm…..I ask the question again…

Will he be able to keep his nose clean from now on???????

Peep Diva Mel B

As we know (or you may not lol), Mel B has been stateside representing the UK in a bit of a raunchy way….Mel has been a ‘Peep Diva’ for nearly four months.
She has been featuring in a popular Las Vegas act called ‘Peepshow’.

Mel is set to leave her current position (scuse pun) at the end of this month and she is quoted to have said, she loved every minute of being in ‘Peepshow’.

Apparently the producer of the show was keen to extend Mel’s stay but Mel could not commit due to other bits and pieces in the pipeline, however there is always the option of going back!

Mel will return to LA once her stint is over and start making moves on other projects.

You go guuuurl,…. You have to give it to her, she’s doing OK – dontcha think?

Mercy given to Madonna!

‘If at first you do not succeed….’

Well that’s probably what Madonna is saying right now because it seems as though her tireless efforts to adopt Mercy James from Malawi has attracted the sympathy of three Supreme court judges who are set to approve her appeal.

As we know, back in March, Madonna attempted to adopt Mercy but was blocked because it was claimed Madonna had not been resident in Malawi for 18 months or more - but that is all history now because apparently this Sunday, the official ruling will be announced in an East African court.

It looks as if Madonna has got her way….again!

It’s a good look for Mercy who will join her brand new brothers and sister in America very soon!

Mike Ties the Knot!

Former Heavy weight champion Mike Tyson has tied the knot to his girlfriend in a secret ceremony just weeks after his four year old daughter Exodus tragically died.

Apparently Mike and Lakiha Spicer (the girlfriend) exchanged vows in a ceremony that took place at about 10pm on Saturday night at the La Belle Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.

It seems like Mike needs all the happiness he can get right now and if Lakiha is there whilst he grieves and then helps him to smile again… I am all for it!

DMX....again!

Awwww come on DMX… more bother or am I just late?

Apparently DMX was charged with aggravated assault on a prison guard whilst serving his sentence in an Arizona jail for fraud and animal cruelty (amongst other things).

However, it is alleged that even though DMX was prepared to plead guilty to the charge, the judge is prepared to dismiss the case!

I guess it’s a case of Lady Luck shining down……

Now DMX, can we manage keeping our nose clean for a few months?

Bobby announced the arrival of his latest offspring, Cassius on the same day Whitney Houston announced the release date of her new album!

It is alleged the thieves broke in, ransacked the room and got away with thousands of dollars worth of stuff including Em’s personal laptop and a £40k diamond necklace.

Mijac gets MAD!

Apparently Mijac is livid with the promoters for booking him in to do 50 shows.
He personally believes he can’t cut it and you know what, as much as I love the man – I don’t think he can either.
When you think about how gruelling a concert can be…to do 10 is pushing it – 50 is taking it a bit too far dontcha think?

Thing is, its Michael Jackson and OK, everybody wants to see him so there is no problem in getting bums on seats (lol) but… lets consider the dude himself – is he able????

It is reported, Michael was speaking to some fans outside a studio in LA and he was overheard saying, he is not a big eater and needs to put on weight as well as the fact, he only wanted to do 10 shows in the first place.

Sources close to Michael, claim he eats only once a day and believes that is enough to sustain him.

Apparently he has a phobia of becoming fat!
(Cant see it happening personally).

Anyway, it will be interesting to see what happens next as the first 4 dates of the tour have already been rescheduled to July 13…..
I predict more shuffling around and cancellations…hope it doesn’t happen like that but sadly, I think it will!

Samantha Orobator....verdict: Guilty!

British Samantha Orobator has been sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty of trafficking heroin in Laos.

The verdict was given as an alternative to the usual death sentence that is passed when a drug trafficker is convicted because Samantha became pregnant whilst in incarcerated.
Under Laos Law, the execution of a pregnant woman is not allowed.

Samantha may be extradited back to the UK to serve her prison sentence.

Su Bo ain't stable Yo.....!

Well, the question for me is: What would have happened if she had won it?

It is alleged, Susan Boyle (SuBo as she is also known), has been rushed to hospital following her defeat in the Britain’s Got Talent final on Saturday.

It seems it all got a bit too much for Susie…apparently she freaked out after the final, shouting, screaming and ranting about how much she hated the show (after she lost), then on Sunday, she started acting very strangely in her hotel which resulted in her being taken to a private clinic.

SuBo’s mental state has always been in question since the beginning of the show and I suppose the fact that she is fragile combined with the hype and expectation that had built up around her, basically….something had to give!

Let’s hope SuBo gets it together and gets back on track… I mean lets face it – she’s sorted anyways…isn’t she?????

Family Guy for an Emmy?

Love a bit of Family Guy???

Trust me, I do too!

Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy, hopes to win a comedy Emmy which would make Family Guy the first ever animation to do so….fingers crossed.

Seth justifies his entry by stating the format of the show is very similar to traditional sitcoms.

I couldn’t agree more….in fact Family Guy most certainly feels like you are a watching a sitcom….its just a cartoon – which in my opinion, makes it even sweeter – light hearted and fun, great combo!

Seth went on to say, a lot of the writers behind Family Guy actually come from a comedy background which is even more reason to push Family Guy up there alongside the other comedies.

Last year, Family Guy made the top 10 finalists but failed to make the top 5.

Let’s hope this year, Family Guy gets just what it deserves….an Emmy!

Needless to say, he is now in intensive care and is in fact, battling for his life!

De La Soul and Damon Albarn

De La Soul is working on an album which is due for release early 2010.

The album will feature various guests including Chuck D and Flavor Flav.

DLS are also hoping to get Damon Albarn in on the action.

Del La Soul previously worked alongside Damon when they contributed to the 2005 Gorillaz track, Feel Good Inc.

They have also just finished contributing to a few new tunes for the Gorillaz album so, they are hoping Damon will return the favour!

Lets hope so eh?!

T.I and Tiny Tie the Knot!

Did you know T.I and Tiny are officially a couple?

No scrap that….did you know they are married a couple??

That’s right….married!

Apparently Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle and T.I, tied the knot in a private ceremony in Miami a couple of weeks ago.

This is the first marriage for both of them and they share two kids together.

As we know, T.I has now begun his sentence for possession of an illegal firearm… their holiday to Miami was covered up in public as their last getaway before T.I serves his time….

I do believe CONGRATULATIONS are in order!

Exodus Tyson....R.I.P

Right now my heart aches….

Mike Tyson’s daughter, Exodus has tragically passed away after an accident on a treadmill – she was only 4 years old!

Tyson has issued a statement thanking everyone for all their well wishes and has requested privacy and prayers in this, their time of need.

This is so tragic, so sad and so upsetting…

My personal heartfelt condolences go out to the family – they are most definitely in my prayers.

How deep is this….?

Mike Tyson’s 4 year old daughter was found yesterday hanging from a cable attached to a treadmill!

That’s right…you read right….hanging by a cable – sheeeeeeesh!

Apparently her 7 year old brother found her unconscious and raised the alarm.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital after paramedics performed CPR on her.

She in now on life support and is said to be in an extremely critical condition.

Prayers and thoughts most definitely go out to the family!

Lucy Gordon, the British actress that starred in SpiderMan3 has been found dead in Paris, 2 days before her 29th birthday.
According to the Parisian police, she committed suicide!

The LA Police have already managed to link someone to the murder of upcoming rap artist Dolla, who was shot and killed in Beverley Hills on Monday.
Apparently Dolla was waiting outside a mall with a friend when he was shot in the head….. deep!

There could be 2 other people in the frame but Police have not yet fully pursued that line of enquiry.
Police are also questioning whether the shooting was linked to an argument that took place earlier on between Dolla and a passenger during a flight from Atlanta to LA.

Dolla who was only 21, was near completion of his first album, ‘Another Day, Another Dolla’ and had signed a deal with Konvict Muzik (Akon’s label).

How sad is this story?

My question is why?

MLK on the big screen!

A biopic on Martin Luther King could be arriving sooner rather than later...

After endless work, Dreamworks have announced they have finally acquired the rights to the civil rights leaders life story.

It is reported, the deal was made with MLKs son, Dexter.

Steven Spielberg along with Suzanne De Passe and Madison Jones, are all set to bring the life of the historic icon who was assassinated in 1968 at the tender age of 39 to the movies.

How fabulous…. I personally can’t wait!

I look forward to seeing how they convey greatness on the big screen!

Oh my gosh… when I saw this story I went all squeamish!

Apparently a young woman, who went to Hungary to have a wart removed from her breast, was horrified to find surgeons had in fact hacked off right nipple instead!

Aaaaaaaaaaargh – the thought!

Naturally, an investigation into what happened is underway and the victim has sought advice from lawyers with a view to sue.

Lil Kim is set to capitalise on her recent incarceration….

Kim was found guilty of perjury and was sentenced to a year and a day in jail in 2005.

She served her time at the Federal Detention Centre in Philadelphia and has now decided to pen her jail memoirs and call the book, ‘The Price of Loyalty’.

Kim wants the book to give some kind of inspiration for those locked up and also provide insight into what it is like to be jailed!

Could be an interesting read….no?

Iman has spoken out about the beauty of the First Lady…

In Parade magazine, Iman has declared Michelle Obama is not a great beauty but has brains and is interesting to look at, which in her opinion is guaranteed to take you further.

Despite rumours of being sued and having skin cancer, Michael Jackson is still going ahead with rehearsals for his forthcoming tour over here in the UK this summer.

According to E! Online, magician Ed Alonzo (previously worked with Britney Spears) has been drafted in to add some magic to the show.

Apparently, Ed clarified he will not actually be performing in any of the shows he is merely there to help create the magic and illusions Michael wants.

It is alleged that if anyone is performing magic…It will be Michael himself!

What I want to know is, is this in place of the moonwalk???

Swizz and Alicia.... It's official!

As the old saying goes…. the truth will set you free and it seems as though Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys are just that.

The rumor mill has been churning on these two for a good while now.

It really kicked off a while back when Ms Keys was accused of being the reason behind the long separation between Swizz and wife, Mashonda.

Initially, Swizz strongly denied any involvement with Alicia but now it seems like he wants the world to know, he is totally in love with her, and her with him!

Swizz was quoted to have said, the reason why he held back on admitting he and Alicia were an item was because, he felt what he has with Alicia is special and he didn’t want to rub it in Mashonda’s face.

No doubt, these recent revelations are going to nark Mashonda even more…. She is already unhappy with the (Divorce) financial offer made to her as she feels Swizz is holding back information on his finances.
