Hope all is well and life is treating you just fine….

Every Friday on my weekend prep show, we catch up with some of the latest happenings in celebville!

If you are like me and love a bit of celeb juice…keep reading.

I thought it would be cool to blog after every show about what we covered in the show, so those that didn’t hear can catch up and those that did, well….. seeing it in print kinda of confirms some of the crazy shenanigans these celebs get up to.

Well, that’s the gist of it so……what’s been going on this week?

Kanye West has decided to rerecord his latest musical offering; Love Lockdown.
Personally, I liked the track and felt it was a bit of a grower but apparently scores of fans have left feedback on his website complaining about it :o(

After initially responding to the not so encouraging comments with ‘If you don’t like the Auto-tune, too bad ‘cause I love it and have been using it since The College Dropout’!!!
Kanye re sung the track and used new taiko drums as well!

So, if you were one of those people that weren’t really feeling the initial mix, hold tight for the next one – it should be in your ears anytime soon!

Whilst we are on the subject of Kanye, he has not only been busy making music, he has also hooked up with Comedy Central.
Together they have been working on a new half-hour pilot show that combines puppets and music.
The show has already been named, ‘Alligator Boots’ (although I am not sure why) and has been described as ‘hip hop meets the Muppets’! Sounds good eh…..?
Kanye will be producing music for the show along with fellow rapper Rhymefest as well as hosting the pilot.
Different celebrity guests will be drafted in for every episode, keeping inline with the original format of the Muppet Show.

Tell you what…I’m keeping my ear firmly to the ground on that one, sounds like it could be a good show!

By the way…if you love a bit of Kanye….he has been confirmed to perform alongside Estelle at the MOBO awards at Wembley Arena in October – wooohoooo
(Estelle has 5 nominations including best female – big up)!

Lil Wayne is laughing this week , not only is he celebrating his 26th birthday in the Bahamas headlining the ‘Poppin Bottles’ concert, he is cleaning up shop at the BET Hip Hop Awards.

With a leading 12 nominations, I’m sure there will be more than a few bottles popping in the Bahamas!

FYI…Kanye received the second most nominations with 7 and Jay Z ranked third with 6.

Russell Simmons is also getting a bringing on the BET Awards; he will be awarded the ‘I am Hip-Hop’ icon award.
So, it looks like smiles all round…..LOL

I am not sure what to make of this next bit of news….R. Kelly has given BET his first interview since being acquitted of all charges.

In the interview he said he felt betrayed by those close to him but didn’t bare any grudges and wants to move on with his life.
I for one, would like a bit more on that…like who betrayed you??? Aren’t we talking about video footage here…..You know?

Anyways, he rejoices in the fact that he was found innocent and says he has no intention to give up music!
When asked whether he was attracted to teenage girls, he responded by saying; ‘When you say teenage, how old do you mean? I have some 19 year old friends but I don’t like anybody illegal’!!!
Hmmmmmmmmm…not sure whether that was the right answer R. Kelly, I mean, I know what you were trying to say but come on…

Anyhoooo, I am still on the fence about this one, I’ve always been an R. Kelly fan (musically) so I hope he keeps his nose clean (scuse pun) and keeps churning out those hits!
Oh yeah…the new album is another grower – nuff sexual but still a grower hehe…

Eminem is back…well sort of!

He is currently recording material for a new album although Interscope has said; there is no official release date for the single much less the album but it should be available by the end of the year.

Meanwhile, Eminem has been producing tracks not only for himself but for other artists on his label, Shady Records – coooooooool!

It’s not looking good for Nate Dogg, after suffering a second stroke in the space of a year – apparently he was hooked up to a life support machine and was being fed through a tube!
His cousin has confirmed the above was true but has since been taken off life support and remains hooked up to the feeding tube.
Allegedly the first stroke left him partially paralyzed!

Speaking of strokes, apparently DMX missed his latest court hearing because he was hospitalised and is feared to have had a stroke too!
A lawyer has confirmed his non attendance in court but refrained from commenting on whether he had actually suffered a stroke.

Although both, Nate Dogg and DMX have found themselves caught on the wrong side of the law, threatening and stalking his wife and drug possession, traffic violations, animal cruelty and defrauding a hospital, respectively – I personally wish these men well and hope they both have a speedy recovery.

On a lighter note, Mel B is flying the flag for the UK, like ‘seriously high’ lol.

She will be reporting from the set of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ (which she previously took part in), she will be doing interviews with the cast after live shows as well as keeping an eye on all that happens backstage!

Sounds like fun…gwarn Scary!

Ciara has got her pram well and truly out over the Vibe magazine cover presenting her as naked.
Now, although she says she didn’t realise that she would be depicted as nude, she did say she had taken snaps of herself in only her underwear believing, the idea was to celebrate the human art form!

She said. ‘It’s very, very upsetting and somewhat misleading’.

Vibe’s Editor-in-chief has a somewhat different spin on the cover.
He said the idea of having Ciara naked was actually her idea!
He went on to say; ‘It was pitched to me in a way that it was time for her to grow up and be beautiful…..’!

For the record, Ciara will not pursue any legal action which suggests to me, there is more of the story that she is not letting on to hey? Hey? LOL

One lady that did decide to try and sue Vibe magazine (and Diddy) for printing her picture in an issue back in 2006 without her consent has had her lawsuit thrown out!

Hear the joke…..she filed a claim for $3 million!
For a picture of her at Diddy’s White Party event???? Is she loopy? I mean let me get this right…. You go to a celebrity bash…..pictures are taken…..one is published in a mag that is known for publishing this kind of thing…..you decide, because you were not consulted, you will sue for $3 million??? Whatever lady…was there a lil bit more that Grey Goose Vodka in that glass or what?

Sheeeeeeeeeeesh – anyways, I guess you gotta give the woman credit for trying a ting ha ha ha—the antics eh?

Mariah Carey! Well well well….what now, there is always something floating around about this one.

Apparently Mariah cancelled a scheduled appearance on Oprah because she was preggers!
Needless to say, Oprah has quashed that theory flat and so has a rep for Mariah!
Deary me, O where do people get their stories….?

Finally, legendary blues singer Nappy Brown has died in his sleep aged 78.

May his soul rest in peace and may his family receive all the support, love and blessings from God himself.

Apparently, searching under certain celebrity names could leave your computer at risk.
Some of the names that are particularly dangerous include: Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Angelina Jolie and Rihanna to name but a few.
