What’s really good?

Another week of ‘celebrity’ and I must admit, its taken me a lil longer than usual to get my weekly ‘celeb’ rant up.

Besides the fact I have been like majorly busy, I have also been taken over by a disgusting flu like virus that is trying its very best to bring me down!
I WILL NOT SUCCUMB!!!! Lol

Nah on the reals, its all about the Beechams All In One and Ginger & Lemon tea truss me…dutty nasty, cold uuuuuuuuuuuurghh – roll on summer!

Anyway, enough of that – lets cut to the chase.
I haven’t seen Lil Kim in a hot minute, but one thing for sure is….she ain't smiling!
A $2.5 million breach of contract lawsuit has been filed against her claiming that tracks she was supposed to have delivered are no where to be seen!
Apparently, she started writing tracks for her new album but by the beginning of September had only penned a few. She decided that she wanted to alter the contract terms and is now refusing to continue recording until Brookland (media) agree to her changes – oooooooooo feisty!
Obviously, Brookland have an alternative side to the story so I guess it’s just a matter of waiting to see what the courts decide.
However it goes – its great publicity for the Notorious K.I.M uuuuuuuuuuh!

Speaking of feisty ladies, Beyonce is officially back on the scene!
She has described her new video, ‘If I Were a Boy’ as kind of like ‘Freaky Friday’.
She said the video focuses on all the things that affect relationships such as men not answering their phones!!! Ooooer…
And, if that’s not enough juice for ya, apparently the actual song ‘If I Were a Boy’ was not actually written by Bey, but was in fact written by an upcoming singer/songwriter who had NO idea Beyonce had recorded her song!
Imagine that?!!
Word about town is the songwriter had been bullied by Bey’s people who saw strong potential in the track…
As part of the deal to have Beyonce’s name on the credits for the song, she (Bey) will collaborate with BC Jean (singer/songwriter) on her debut album, which may well arrive sooner than you know….apparently industry professionals are falling all over themselves trying to sign this girl.
Watch this space….you know where you heard it first!!!!!!

Halle Berry is not content on being the ‘sexiest woman on earth’ as voted in Esquire magazine; she now wants ladies around the globe, to smell like her too!
Her signature perfume which will be called…wait for it…..Halle by Halle Berry (so original – lol) and will hopefully be available in spring 2009.
The perfume has been developed over the past 24 months and has even passed Gabriel’s (Halle’s baby daddy) smell test!!!
Halle said "I want women to feel that their partners, that special person, think they smell beautiful’.
Sounds like it should kick up a bit of a stink come spring….boom boom lol

Guess what ladies…..?
Maxwell is back.
He has been penning new tracks and treated fans to an exclusive performance as part of his sixth tour at the New York Radio City Music Hall.
Maxwell was supported by a nine piece band and kicked off with a rendition of ‘Get to Know Ya’ – a track off his third and last album.
The performance clearly got too much for some as panties were thrown on the stage!!! (For Maxwell’s sake, I hope they were clean – uuuuuuuurgh)!
By the time Maxwell got to the track ‘Til the Cops come Knockin’, clearly the ‘panty situation’ had gotten to him.
Maxwell declared there were not enough pants on the stage – at which point a rather large pair of white ‘Bridget Jones’’ were flung at him!
Careful what you wish for eh??? LOL

Kanye definitely made his presence known by bringing more than 20 nude models to his listening party for 808s & Heartbreak in LA the other day.
Upon arrival, the models positioned themselves in triangular formation wearing nothing but black stiletto heels and wigs in either blonde or black!
Kanye said, ‘I like the idea of nudity because I realize its society that told us to wear clothes at a certain point.’
Kanye has declared this album is from the heart and really does not care how people rate it - he says this is real art!

You know what peeps? I kinda agree with him – too many people try to conform and are afraid to push boundaries and try something new so you know what…..go head Kanye, do yo thang – yuh dun know people will follow anyways……!

Btw…he ain’t done yet; he is planning to release another album around June 2009 – just about when we will be yearning for another ‘Kanye’ instalment huh..?


Whoops – not sure Rev Run is a Kanye fan or indeed a fiddy fan – He (Rev Run) has come forward and said, he believes the ‘beef’ between Kanye and Fiddy was fake and even goes as far as to say, the pair of them are actually really close!!!
What do you think?
Are they really sworn enemies or is Rev Run right and the whole thing was just a publicity stunt?

Its like, people can’t get enough of our home grown talent Mel B right now, she has just turned down $1.85 million to pose naked for Playboy!
She has refused to do it and claims only her hubby reserves viewing rights!
She is however, currently stripping down to her underwear for her Ultimo campaign – but seems as though that’s as far as she will go…..for now lol

Finally for today, the Mobo’s the Mobos the Mobos….
You know what, I am not even gonna say too much about the show but from what I’ve heard, the general feeling is, it wasn’t the best (to put it nicely) – maybe time for a makeover???? I dunno – who am I to pass judgement lolololol
