Another week has gone by already? Dang!!!

Lets get straight to it….what’s been happening in ‘Celebville’ over the past week?

Well, Jay Z was honoured for his charitable work in Africa on October 1st.

Jay Z received praise at the UN Global Leadership Awards for his humanitarian work which included him helping to bring clean water to the poorer parts of the continent.

Jay Z has expressed his gratitude at actually being able to see the results of his efforts. He said: ‘I got to go to Africa, see the water pumps. I got to see the kids turn them on’!

So, big ups to Jay Z and long may he continue to help those who are far less privileged than we are.

As most of us are probably aware, Janet (Ms Jackson if ya naaaasty) Jackson, was hospitalized hours before she was due to put on a performance in Montreal.

It has now materialised, Janet was suffering from a condition known as Vertigo (a balance disorder – the illusion of movement when no movement is present).
Janet’s brother Randy has confirmed the above, he was quoted to have said, ‘Janet is doing ok, she suffers from Vertigo’.

Let’s hope, Janet has a speedy recovery and is back on track with her Rock Witchu tour, sooner rather than later.

Still riding on the high of his recently released album, ‘Year of the Gentlemen’, Ne-Yo says he is currently working on a film that is based loosely on his life.

The name of the film is called ‘Venice Beach’ (at the mo-lol) and he compares it to Eminem’s 8 Mile.

Not only will the film be based on him, Ne-Yo will actually star in it adding more credentials to his acting resume.

Looking forward to that one, I don’t know about you, but I find it quite interesting to see what ‘makes’ some of these artists, you know, where they have come from etc…

From one artist making an impact to another.

D’Angelo (hmmmmmmmmm I can just visualise ‘that’ video), is back!!!

His latest single, ‘I Found My Smile Again’, is available exclusively through iTunes. The track has been described as ‘typical’ D’Angelo – Soul fused with hip hop –mmmm sounds good (oooh that video lol).

Anyways, as you know, D’Angelo was big on the scene around the mid to late 90’s – bussin’ out with his debut album, ‘Brown Sugar’ (which is still BIG might I add). Thus album, most definitely established him as one of the pioneers of RnB Soul Movement in the 90’s.

Now, as he finalises his third album which is tipped to be released in early 2009, we (including me), wait with bated breathe to see what’s crackalackin’- maybe another one of ‘those’ videos??? LOL – Ok Ill leave it alone now ha!!!

Two of my favourite Hip Hop ‘heads’ are at it again!
Method Man and Redman are scheduled to hit more than 35 cities from October through to late November with a headline tour.
Sharing the stage with them will be, Termanolgy – a New York based rapper – sweet!

Now this, is a concert, that I would love to reach but, my thing is whyyyyyyyyyyyy does the UK very rarely get a bring in?
Now I am sure I can get a ‘Hallelujah’ when I say, we get shafted!!!!!

Picture it, Redman and Meth on one stage – concert – dang – that would bring out the old skool heads fa sho– it would be a blast!

You know what; maybe we should get a petition going huh? LOL

Anyways, if you can’t get to the concert, watch out for a new solo album from Method Man, set to be released later this year or early 2009 – Check the title….. Crystal Meth!!! Bound to be addictive eh? Boom Boom!!! LOL

The Game must be still wiping the sweat of his brow – he has escaped criminal battery charges relating to a scuffle at a cousin’s memorial service – that’s right, a memorial service.

Now I can’t recall the exact facts - all I know is there was some hoo ha over who would be paying the expenses for the cousins’ funeral!!!!

Tis deep, I know!

Anyhoo, the judge has decided to dismiss the case as a result of the Game agreeing to attend anger management meetings!!!

Kanye is another ‘lucky’ celeb this week.

Both Kanye and his road manager have avoided felony charges that came about as a result of the infamous paparazzi incident

The case has been handed down to city attorneys who will decide whether or not to charge them with a misdemeanour!

Not being funny, but as I said on the show, I can understand why Kanye and co, freaked out at the Paparazzi. They are not just, ‘in your face’ they are ‘IN YA FACE’ –I guess it can be much!
I can hear some people saying, yeah but they are celebs etc etc….BUT, I personally can understand – celeb or not, we all human and we all have boundaries and tolerance levels – once you over step….the result is… well in Kanye's case, someone’s camera gets mash up!To be fair, the paparazzi dood is lucky it was only his camera that got it!!!!

Ok, now this is where the UK, particularly London, gets its props!

Andre 300’s new fashion line, Benjamin Bixby, will be sold exclusively in Harrods, London!

Now that’s a touch for all the London heads eh? I

Andre has not specified why, he is making the line available in Harrods only but, has admitted he loves shopping at the Hackett shop on Sloane Street (London) and tends to visit Portobello Market (also in London) to buy his vintage wears!

Well Andre, nice move, but how about making the line available on the High Street next? – hint hint, wink wink lol

Victoria Beckham has set the story straight!
She has finally responded to the rumours!

I can categorically say, POSH SPICE will NOT be joining the Pussy Cat Dolls!!! (Thank God for that).

She has said the rumours are a load of crap.

She said; ‘I love the Pussy Cat Dolls and I have a lot of respect for them and they’re great but, I was in a group and it was fun but not any more’!

Everyone…. you can take a sigh of relief because Posh spice in PCD????? Uhmmm – Nah! Tee hee

From one Spice gyal to the next… Mel B is continuing to spread her wings.
Mel is teaming up with the creator of Project Runway to develop a new series based on her clothing line, Catty Couture.

She has also got a fitness DVD on the cards – this came as a result of people constantly asking her how she managed to get herself back in shape so quickly after having a baby.

Mel said, ‘I don’t want it to be a regular fitness DVD. I don’t want it to be pretty, where you don’t sweat and its all exercises that don’t work. I want to show you exactly what I do three to four times a week’!

So ladies, if it’s a couple of pounds you wanna shift, this may be the DVD – who knows!
